In Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, the world's first oil well was once opened. The area around the city is riddled with extraction holes and crisscrossed with rusty pipelines. The pumps sway monotonously like strange steel animals, endlessly sucking up streams of oil. While the driver buys a sandwich at the station, the film takes the viewer on a journey to uncover the connections... What secrets are hidden in the centuries-old oil fields that Hitler was so enamored with? Is "black gold" suitable for spas? Will the Contract of the Century and the massive pipeline save the country? Why is a matryoshka doll of President Aliyev more expensive than one of Osama Bin Laden?
